Personal Projects

This page holds various items that I did for personal projects. They may yet find themselves as part of a published title -- who knows? Keep an eye on the Vectorsphere Weblog for future announcements and new stuff.

Mecha concepts

A mecha concept for a series I'm working on (Project 1). The diagram at top shows the flight/defense field while active, and the one at the bottom shows the head cockpit (the torso is filled with generators). Not sure yet about the trim, still working out most of the details.

Mecha concepts

Another mecha concept for the same series. This one is heavier, and the cockpit is incorporated within the armor of the upper torso. There are alternate torso designs at right. The overall proportions look good, but I think the chest still needs work.

Mekton II concept

This is a sketch of the head unit of a "grunt" type mecha design I made for a Mekton II game that never got off the ground.

Mecha concept Mecha concept

A few rapid mecha design, including a battlesuit for a near-future setting I'm thinking about. Not much details, because both these drawings were maybe an inch high!

Mecha concept

Another quick sketch for yet another setting. I was aiming for a 1930 look on the transport truck, but it's not an alt-history setting (sorry, fans of Gear Krieg).

Mecha concept

This is a sketch of some possible mecha for another world I'm working on. The themes will be familiar to fans of my previous works (like Jovian Chronicles).

Mecha concept

More concepts for the same setting.

Mecha concept Mecha concept

Another mecha concept, plus a spacecraft. The latter image is a bit deceptive, however -- the vessel is not the monolithic "soap bar" design that it appears at first glance (hint -- the central section has a variable geometry).

Mecha concept Mecha concept

Yet more mecha concepts. I'm fond of the one on the right, with its retractable arms and legs.
