This page contains pictures of assorted miniatures that I built and painted in the past. Many of them have since been sold off on eBay in one of the Great Hobby Shelves Purges, but at least we have the memories...
Despite the widespread availability of broadband connections, I'm not sure it's a great idea to have all the images bundled on one page; I may have to change all this to links at some point. Pop-ups would work better, but I would need to figure them out first. Advice welcome.
For a while I used to play a lot of Battletech. During the mid-1990s, I managed to pick up a lot of Clan 'Mechs on the cheap through convention swag (freebies or exchanges). I sold them all off since, but I did keep my original Inner Sphere mercenary 'Mech company, the one that started it all. I'll have to break them out of storage and take pictures...
Mekton, despite being an excellent game system, never caught on as much as Battletech, probably because there isn't a common world/experience that would allows the user base to gain critical mass. For a time, RAFM produced a line of miniatures based on the Algol sample world that was found in the game's rulebook. Good luck finding them nowadays...
CAV looked great, and since I worked in the game industry I was able to pick up a few of the miniatures quite early. The models were chunky, similar in bulk to the early RAFM Gear models. The designs were somewhere between American and Japanese designs, tank-like while still being more than bricks on legs. Reaper Miniatures still sells the game and minis.
This section holds pictures of miniatures I picked up at various gaming conventions and painted for fun. I often don't remember the manufacturer. They are placed in no particular order.
